Project Review Process
First, please read this information thoroughly. It has been designed to help you understand the kinds of projects we seek to support as well as the kind of information you need to provide to give the best summation of your project. Our goal is to understand your project as thoroughly as possible to ensure full consideration of your proposal.
Next, prepare
your proposal and return it to the Ad Council
office no later than Friday, September 19, 2008 for support
to commence on January 1, 2009.
Once you've submitted your proposal, it will go through a series of reviews by staff and volunteers.
- The staff of the Ad Council
is charged with ensuring that all proposals considered meet
the basic guidelines as well as the criteria for support established
by the Board of Directors.
- A proposal review meeting
may be initiated for programs/projects seeking Community Impact
support. The purpose of the visit, conducted by a team of Ad
Council staff and volunteers, is to learn more about your team
and your project/program.
- Recommendations are presented
to the Community Advisory Committee for their
review. This group of volunteers represents diverse expertise
and understanding of the community at large, the challenges
it faces, and the nonprofit community that serves it. They are
charged with providing counsel and advice to staff to ensure
the most thorough recommendation is presented to the Board of
Directors.
- The final step is presenting
the recommendation to the Board of Directors
of the Ad Council for their discussion and approval.
- Once approved, a team of Ad
Council staff and volunteers will meet periodically with your
team to assess your progress toward your goals;
an assessment review report and site visit occur at least one
a year.
